We love this whole couchsurfing thing. Janos, our host in Budapest, was our 6th host on this trip and like almost all the others, he was a star. Janos is a self-employed translator while he also manages a PhD which he’s nearly completed. Today it was time for the other half of Budapest. We’d walked through Buda, the older part the day before and now wanted to explore something of Pest. The first place we headed to was the Houses of Parliament because Janos had helpfully found out that tours of it are free for EU citizens. Tours though are pretty popular and when we arrived at 9:45 for the 10am tour, we were given tickets for 12 o’clock.
