In the UK (and I’m sure many other countries) we like to pick our own fruit in the summer. Usually, the fruit is on a farm, and you pick what you want, have it weighed and then pay per kilo to take it home.
When we came up to see John’s family in the northeast, we arrived just in time to catch my sister heading out to pick srawberries with her kids and a friend. We joined the expedition too.
Reuben (left) and Adam in the strawberry fields. Sheena and John’s sister Amanda are crouching down in the background.
For some reason, Reuben enjoyed licking them and putting them back in the box when we couldn’t stop him. We made sure we washed them well when we got home!
We managed to fill about three cartons of strawberries and pick some raspberries too.
