Silisili Survey

by John on 24 Jan 12

16 days, 18 hours, 28 minutes until we embark on our next survey. Although we did have the Tikvah Survey at the planning stage, consultation with the Regional Director of Morobe Province revealed another survey there had more priority. So, we leave on the Silisili Survey on the 10th of February.

More details on the Silisili Survey Page.

  • Last Languages Campaign

    Wycliffe International

How many people die each year without hearing the Bible in their own language? How many people groups have no Scripture whatsoever? You might want to write down your answers before you watch the video to check. Hear testimonies of what having the word of God means to people who've never had it before.

  • Language Survey

What happens on a language survey trip

Shane of Wycliffe Australia talks about why he works for Wycliffe Bible Translators and takes us on a language survey trip to Vanuatu, just down the island chain east of Papua New Guinea. If you want to know what John will be doing, this is the video to watch.

  • Why Bible Translation is Needed

    Neil Anderson

A veteran PNG translator gives a stirring message from outside his home for the last few decades: a narrow ridge in the Highlands. Why all of us are involved in getting the message out there, and why Bible translation is born out of Jesus' command to go.

  • Papua New Guinea

    A colourful variety of people

Hear some traditional music, see some traditional dancing, find out what the flag looks like and see just how much variety there is in the faces, culture and landscape of PNG. And how much variety is there in Bible translations of the 800 languages? Not a lot. Find out how many still don't have a single line of Scripture.
